‘In The Night’ .INTL TAPES. review ::
The vid for OS OVNI’s “In the Night” finds the Austin-based duo navigating their test ship through a nebula of sherbet-hued oscillations, immersed in their search of the great unknowns. Gently mutating synths and drums pull double duty as both engine patter and mantra, even as the colors themselves begin to intensify, distorting the forms of the storytellers and robbing them of context. The vocals have a haunting quality as the sense of disorientation grows and the pair become absorbed by this fantastic space, eventually succumbing to a mass of pure white.
Heavily existential sci-fi vignette? Pop music video? Both.
